Internationalisation and EU Projects

With Holzcluster think internationally, identify new markets and gain a foothold there.

Enjoying an unexpectedly high external balance of trade, in 2018 Austria was ranked fifth among EU countries for exports per capita. Small and medium-sized businesses are increasingly showing an international approach, even global in certain cases.

It takes strategic planning and hard work to break into a market as a new player. We have already assisted our partner companies in doing so for 15 years. We also offer many years of experience in managing international projects and providing the necessary consulting services.

Styria as a global magnet for people passionate about wood

As an ambassador for the value-added chain of timber, we ensure that Styria is known throughout the world as a centre of business – and with it our Cluster Partners. We skilfully showcase your products at international events and so establish new business relationships.

Jointly capturing new markets opens up synergy potential and lessens the level of risk to the individual company. Every year we organise study trips and group visits to trade fairs to support our partners.

In cooperation with leading Styrian companies we put a focus on qualification in South-Eastern Europe, each year welcoming numerous incoming delegations interested in discovering know-how from Styria and establishing new business relationships.
